Alan Mullery joined Fulham after leaving school at the age of 15. He was in the First Team by the age of 17, and played over 250 Games in 5 years.

He transferred to Spurs in 1964 for £72,500 (at the time a British Record for a midfield player), and stayed there for 8 years.

Alan Mullery made 373 appearances for the Club, scoring 30 goals and was a member of the F.A. Cup winning Spurs team of 1967 and Captain of the 1971 Football League Cup and 1972 UEFA Cup winning teams.

He then transferred back to Fulham in 1972 for £60,000, where he stayed for four years and retired in 1976.

Alan gained 3 under 21 caps and 35 Full caps for England. He played in the 1970 World Cup Finals and captained the team on 1 occasion.

Mullery was awarded the MBE for services to football in 1975 and in the same year was named as Footballer of the Year.

Once Alan retired from playing football he went on to manage Brighton between 1976 and 1981. In the 5 years that Alan was at the club, they won promotion twice in three seasons to reach 1st Division.After Brighton he had spells at Charlton, Crystal Palace and QPR.

Alan Mullery is now a regular soccer pundit appearing on Talk Radio and Sky Sports.
