Former Professional Footballer, After Dinner Speaker, Guest Apperances

Carlton Palmer's professional career started in 1984 with West Bromwich Albion where he went on to make 120 appearances.

In 1989 he made the transfer to Sheffield Wednesday and was on the losing side in the 1993 FA Cup and League Cup finals.

He played over 215 first team games for The Owls before transferring to Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.

During his spell with Leeds he made over 100 first team appearances.

Carlton also had spells with Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Coventry City and he even made an appearance for Staveley Miners Welfare in 2013.

After a brief spell in management he decided to pursue a career in the media and can often be seen on National Television and heard on local and international radio stations.

This is what Carlton had to say about his own career...

I don't have any regrets about my career. I punched above my weight but was a much better player than people gave me credit for. Pretty much every manager I ever played for tried to re-sign me, which tells you a lot.
