Legendary footballer John Hartson is a former Welsh internationalist who played for a number of teams, including Celtic, Arsenal and West Ham. He won 51 caps at international level for Wales.

John Hartson was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2009. The cancer eventually spread to his brain resulting in him having to undergo emergency neurosurgery. Despite having over 200 carcinogenic cells in his body, through treatment and with perseverance, the cancer has been eliminated.

John has written a book about his struggle against the cancer "Please Don't Go" and has started the John Hartson Foundation to promote testicular cancer awareness. He currently works as a TV and radio pundit with numerous media organisations, including the BBC, ITV and ESPN.
